No giants. The plastic and jig bite has been really non existent except for an occasional small fish. Water temps are still in the high sixties.
I'd rate my spinnerbait fishing as a four but I'm getting a lot of practice of late because that is all I'm able to get any kind of half consistent bite with. Today, it was the only bite. Did hook six Largemouth from submerged timber (I call it trash timber) a pretty good distance off the bank. I did find some big Sandies in timber closer to shore, which is not the norm for a Sandie, at least for me. The Sandies flat clobbered the spinnerbait which made for some fun. Five of those, and when...

on small points in creek arms yesterday, grassy points that had a twenty mile hour wind blowing in to them. Which made for a pretty tough time of fishing. First clue came by way of a spinnerbait, a fat three pound bass with a shad stuck in it's throat. That shad might explain why a decent fish has been hard to come by lately. The bass are active with water temps at 75 but there are plenty of active shad for them to feed on at this time. I did noticed another thing, the spinnerbait had to be...

While there they were giving one or their seminars, the one we watched for a bit was on spinnerbait fishing. As usual a fish didn't even look at that spinnerbait fluttering through that tank.
